Good News: ObamaCare Will Cause Millions to Quit Their Jobs

February 7, 2014

ObamaCare’s greatest achievement has been overlooked until now.  It will enable millions of Americans to quit their jobs and have their health insurance paid for by those of us who are still working.

This may not sound like a good thing, but it is.  Just ask E.J. Dionne of The Washington Post, who pointed out that ObamaCare will free Americans from the “tyranny” of “job lock.”  In other words, instead of being locked into a job because they need health insurance, millions of Americans will be able to stay at home watching television, because those of us who work will pick up the tab for their insurance.

Americans used to think that taxation without representation was tyranny.  Now being a wage slave and working for a living is tyranny.

Death by Snipping For Dr. Gosnell

May 15, 2013

Baby killer Dr. Kermit Gosnell has been sentenced to life in prison.  A more appropriate sentence would have been death by “snipping.”

Snipping” is the term for killing a person by cutting the spinal cord with scissors.

That may sound like a horrible punishment for a 72-yaer-old man, but it’s the method he used to kill hundreds of babies in his abortion mill.

Trial of Mass Murderer Goes Uncovered

May 8, 2013

How does a story about the trial of a mass murderer – someone who is alleged to have killed hundreds – not make it into the mainstream press?

The only logical answer is that media bias is alive and well.

What’s An “Activist”?

May 6, 2013

Journalists go wobbly over use of the term “terrorist,” but not so when it comes to the word “activist.”

For many journalists, there is nothing nobler than the activist, who, in their mind, is devoting his or her life to a chosen cause.  It’s not a real job title, but journalists use it anyway.  Activist is code for “good guy.”

Marathon Bombings Bring Out the Best and the Worst in People

April 19, 2013

Tragedy brings out the best and the worst in people.

After the Boston marathon bombings, the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11, Boston residents became united.  Many at the scene helped the injured and there was a widespread outpouring of goodwill.

Moving the Goal Posts

March 1, 2013

So much for freedom of the press.  Bob Woodward’s ever-so-slight break from full support of President Obama’s every move has caused a fury of condemnation from the The Huffington Post, NPR and The New Yorker.

The overreaction is on par with the rape of the lock or maybe Jean Valjean’s theft of a loaf of bread.

“Extreme” Media Bias

January 8, 2012

A recent post argued that a Google search of the terms “right wing” and “left wing” proves liberal media bias, given that “right wing” appears with much greater frequency than “left wing.”

For some reason, though, I neglected to add the word “extreme” to my search.  You would think the terms “extreme right wing” and “extreme left wing” would never be used, as they are redundant.  Referring to someone as “right wing” or “left wing” implies extremism.

A Vast “Left Wing” Conspiracy

December 19, 2012

The unemployment rates stands at just under 8 percent and the federal debt has soared from $9 trillion when President Obama took office to more than $16 trillion.  The world is a more dangerous place, with Iran close to gaining nuclear capability.  New legislation is making a mess of both the healthcare and financial industries, which will both be largely controlled by the federal government.  Yet President Obama was elected to a second term.

Did a biased media make it all possible?
